Details: Client was arrested for Family Violence Assault. We exercised our client’s right to a speedy trial and announced ready on the designated day. After pre-trial motions and prior to jury selection, the State dismissed the case.

Details: Arrest was made for family violence assault. Although offers were made to resolve the case without trial, our client maintained his innocence and refused to accept a plea deal. After picking a jury and arguing several pre-trial motions, the State dismissed the case before any witnesses were called to testify before the jury.

Details: Client was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. After a thorough review of the evidence and investigation into the complaining witness, it became clear that the complaining witness was the aggressor in the events leading to the arrest. The case received a no-bill at the Grand Jury and was dismissed.

Details: Client found NOT GUILTY by jury after facing a possible sentence of 25 to life. The defense centered on a poor investigation by law enforcement and the weakness of the State’s case at trial.

Details: Client stopped for traffic violation. Admitted to consuming alcohol, but after a good performance on the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, refused to provide a breath sample. Our office recommended against accepting a plea offer or pre-trial diversion. The case was dismissed off the trial docket by the State.

Details: Client was accused of a felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor family violence assault. Both cases were dismissed through negotiation with the State.

Details: Officer claimed several reasons for the initial stop of client. Portable breath test on scene showed BAC above .08 but lab results of blood taken hours later showed a BAC below .08. After reviewing video of client on scene and negotiating with the prosecutor, the State agreed to dismiss the case.

Details: After a thorough negotiation, the State reduced the charge to a misdemeanor and agreed to allow client to complete Pretrial Intervention Program for a dismissal of all charges and eligibility to expunge the full record.
